Seeking wisdom in an information age
On this website, you'll find information about my published works, upcoming releases, and my personal reflections on how theology, the Scriptures, and life can thread together into a beautiful tapestry.
I'm thrilled to share my writing with you and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy creating it. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to my Observatory
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
I call my website "The Observatory" because I write from a study that overlooks a beautiful bay with mountains and forests all around. It's become a metaphor for me.
I like to sit here and observe--not just nature, but the meaning of life, faith, love--big picture stuff. That's my thing.

Who am I?
I'm a native New Englander who has been infected with the love of history from the time I was born. The Pilgrims and Puritans were practically my next door neighbors.
I'm a God lover and a Jesus follower. I intentionally chose this path (or was chosen for it) many years ago and have never looked back since.
I'm a family guy. 5 siblings, 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 1 grandson.
I'm a pastor-scholar who is educated beyond his understanding.
I'm a seeker of wisdom--continually.
I'm a life-long learner.
I love good food, good wine, and good people. And bad people, they need love too.
